                     Most memorable Moment in 2013

My most memorable moment in 2013 was when I got a walk off hit in my baseball game. I was so proud of my self and so were my teammates and my parents. Another memorable moment I had in 2013 is when I got an A++ because of extra credit on my test. My parents were especially proud of me. These were my most memorable moments of 2013.

What I'm exited for in 2014

I'm exited for the new technology in 2014 like the Xbox One and PS3. I know these came out in November but it was so close to 2014 that I counted them as 2014. I am making New Year resolution like being more healthy and being active outside. I'm also exited for being in 7th grade and being taught new things. I would like to be more helpful in general in 2014.

Does Your Brain Auto Correct?

                                             Introduction

On smart phones like the Samsung galaxy S4 Or the I phone 5c or 5s there is a feature called auto correct. Auto correct fixes a word based on what letters are put together. For instance If you spelt pen as pne it would automatically fix your error. Some people hate it because it always corrects it as another word and not the word that they wanted to type. Some people love it especially the younger kids because they don't know how to spell most words.

Does your brain have auto correct?

Our brains have an autocorrect, when we know a word well and it's spelt wrong we immediately know it's wrong. We have had this since we were born. Your brain can hold as much information as the technology we have now. Scientist believe that the brain's ability to make sense out of misspelled words is very quick when it's a word you know. As long as the first and last letters are correct our brains know that it is wrong and we can fix it.

Brain Games - Read The Font from SatoriPrime on Vimeo.

                                                                 Opinion

Honestly I think this is amazing. I didn't think that our brains could automatically fix something without noticing. Sometimes you read something that is misspelled barely and not notice it is misspelled. That is why you sometimes have to reread your sentences backwards because you don't notice it's wrong. Our auto correct is as good as a phones our a mobile devices.

                                   My challenge for you

Go to this website were I got some of my information from http://wonderopolis.org/wonder/does-your-brain-autocorrect/ and find 5 facts about auto correcting. Watch the video it is very interesting and explains about color with fonts. Thank you for reading my blog post.

                   Commercial Techniques

Introduction                                      I think this commercial has Bandwagon and Emotional appeal because if you eat skittles everything you touch turns into skittles. Basically what Emotional appeal is when it is funny, sad or etc . Bandwagon is part of the "in" crowd which means everyone is using it so you should use it too. Obviously its not real but they want you to think skittles are good at least tome they are . Most skittle commercials are funny but have nothing to do with the product. Most little kids will believe this commercial and ask their parents for it or at least that's what skittles think. Parents give their little children whatever they want and even if the will buy it just because there children want to do what happened in the commercial.

                                  Opinion

I enjoy this commercial because I think its humorous to the younger audience and it makes them want to buy the product. The strategies want to make the viewer to buy the product because bandwagon is when everyone is using or eating the product and there are millions of people who love skittles. The reason why people want to buy the product because of emotional appeal is the commercial is funny and many people will buy the product just because of the commercial this one was enjoyable. I think this commercial will make money because it was enjoyable even thought this commercial was from 2007 it is enjoyable and I think it mad lots of money. It's based off the book Chocolate Fever and many people enjoyed that book and it made tons of money .So obviously this commercial made lots of money too and Skittles became something that everyone knew about skittles and they are every were.

  TOP 6 Bandwagon Commercials

    Number 1

I believe this commercial appeals to people who like music and like their cereal. This could be a transfer commercial as well. This is Bandwagon because if you don't eat wheatabix.

          Number 2

                obviously

It has bandwagon in the name so obviously Doritos was going for a Bandwagon commercial. It is bandwagon because the dad wants to be cool and support every football team.

Number 4

This commercial is bandwagon because if you get ATNT you can text any one from any company. Now you can do that with any company but back then when this commercial was made most companies could text people with other companies but they acted like they didn't exist. I don't think they would make this commercial now because every company has thbis feature.

 Number 4

'

This commercial is bandwagon because they want you  to switch to 4g because atnt now has it.everyone has 4g except for one person everyone got the message way faster then him and he was the only one who didn't get it in time he was kind of excluded but not on purpose atnt wants you to switch to 4g because they want your money. even if you have 3g the delay isnt that long and once again atnt think there the only company who have done this but not true

                                    Number  5

This commercial is bandwagon because they all want to eat the doritos. They want to be "cool" and eat doritos. They are literally crazy for doritos and that's all there thinking about.

Number 6

This commercial is bandwagon because they want you to support them. If you don't like the Jets the mesage is your not cool.

             Top 4 Emotional appeal commercials

Number 1

This commercial is sad because he had lost his mom because of her smoking. This is a very emotional by being sad and its a way to make money and put out a good message.

 Number 2

This commercial has emotional appeal because it has very funny moments. The funny moments want to make you buy m&m's.

Number 3

This commercial just makes coke beautiful. Because of this it makes people want to buy coke even more then they already did.

Number 4

This commercial is emotional because his sister passed away and he wanted to win for her but he didn't . Years later he did win and was so exited. But this commercial has nothing to do with Visa

These  videos were all used from youtube. If you liked this blog go try and look for your own bandwagon or emotional appeal commercials. If you liked plese come back to my blog I do a blog every single week. Thank you for reading I hope you enjoyed.

                    THE FIRST EMPEROR

                                     Introduction

Shi Huang Ti was the First Chinese Emperor and was very powerful. In 1974 they found Terracotta while digging for water. They found a couple fragments of Terrecotta then dug it up and found a clay army. A gigantic army lay with chariots, war houses, infamy and archers. The place the army was in was as big as an aircraft shelter. There were more then 7,000 soldiers in the base. So far 200 or more figures have been restored.

                                    Opinion

In my opinion Shi huang Ti is a horrible man and Emperor. One thing that I dislike about is he obsessed his death. Another thing is he massacred the army of the six states. Tlo build the great wall he killed people. He became powered  at 13 so he learned to abuse his power. He made his wives drink poison and buried them alive.Killed anybody who said no and killed their family.
Top 10 Shi Haung Ti facts

 1. The last years of Shih huang-ti's life were dominated by an ever-growing distrust of his entourage — at least three assassination attempts nearly succeeded — and his increasing isolation from the common people.

2. Cheng was born the son of Chuang Hsiang (who later became king of the state of Ch'in in northwestern China) while his father was held hostage in the state of Chao. His mother was a former concubine of a rich merchant, Lü Pu-wei, who, guided by financial interests, managed to install Chuang Hsiang on the throne, even though he had not originally been designated as successor. The tradition, once widely accepted, that Cheng was actually Lü Pu-wei's natural son is probably a slanderous invention.

3. In 220 Shih huang-ti undertook the first of a series of imperial inspection tours that marked the remaining 10 years of his reign. While supervising the consolidation and organization of the empire, he did not neglect to perform sacrifices in various sacred places, announcing to the gods that he had finally united the empire, and he erected stone tablets with ritual inscriptions to extol his achievements.

4. Most of the information about Shih huang-ti's life derives from the successor Han dynasty, which prized Confucian scholarship and thus had an interest in disparaging the Ch'in period. The report that Shih huang-ti was an illegitimate son of Lü Pu-wei is possibly an invention of that epoch. Further, stories describing his excessive cruelty and the general defamation of his character must be viewed in the light of the distaste felt by the ultimately victorious Confucians for legalist philosophy in general.

5. When Cheng, at age 13, formally ascended the throne in 246 BC, Ch'in already was the most powerful state and was likely to unite the rest of China under its rule. The central states saw Ch'in as a barbarous country, but its strong position on the mountainous western periphery (with its centre in the modern province of Shensi) enabled Ch'in to develop a strong bureaucratic government and military organization as the basis of the totalitarian state philosophy known as legalism.

6. Until Cheng was officially declared of age in 238, his government was headed by Lü Pu-wei. Cheng's first act as king was to execute his mother's lover, who had joined the opposition, and to exile Lü, who had been involved in the affair. A decree ordering the expulsion of all aliens, which would have deprived the king of his most competent advisers, was annulled at the urging of Li Ssu, later grand councillor. By 221, with the help of espionage, extensive bribery, and the ruthlessly effective leadership of gifted generals, Cheng had eliminated one by one the remaining six rival states that constituted China at that time, and the annexation of the last enemy state, Ch'i, in 221 marked his final triumph: for the first time China was united, under the supreme rule of the Ch'in.

6. To herald his achievement, Cheng assumed the sacred titles of legendary rulers and proclaimed himself Ch'in Shih huang-ti ("First Sovereign Emperor of Ch'in"). With unbounded confidence, he claimed that his dynasty would last "10,000 generations."

7. As emperor he initiated a series of reforms aimed at establishing a fully centralized administration, thus avoiding the rise of independent satrapies. Following the example of Ch'in and at the suggestion of Li Ssu, he abolished territorial feudal power in the empire, forced the wealthy aristocratic families to live in the capital, Hsien-yang, and divided the country into 36 military districts, each with its own military and civil administrator. He also issued orders for almost universal standardization — from weights, measures, and the axle lengths of carts to the written language and the laws. Construction of a network of roads and canals was begun, and fortresses erected for defense against barbarian invasions from the north were linked to form the Great Wall.

8. hih huang-ti certainly had an imposing personality and showed an unbending will in pursuing his aim of uniting and strengthening the empire. His despotic rule and the draconian punishments he meted out were dictated largely by his belief in legalist ideas.

9. With few exceptions, the traditional historiography of imperial China has regarded him as the villain par excellence, inhuman, uncultivated, and superstitious. Modern historians, however, generally stress the endurance of the bureaucratic and administrative structure institutionalized by Shih huang-ti, which, despite its official denial, remained the basis of all subsequent dynasties in China. (Encyclopaedia Britannica Article)

10. Another motive for Shih huang-ti's travels was his interest in magic and alchemy and his search for masters in these arts who could provide him with the elixir of immortality. After the failure of such an expedition to the islands in the Eastern Sea — possibly Japan — in 219, the emperor repeatedly summoned magicians to his court. Confucian scholars strongly condemned the step as charlatanry, and it is said that 460 of them were executed for their opposition. The continuous controversy between the emperor and Confucian scholars who advocated a return to the old feudal order culminated in the famous burning of the books of 213, when, at Li Ssu's suggestion, all books not dealing with agriculture, medicine, or prognostication were burned, except historical records of Ch'in and books in the imperial library.

Killer Crocs

                                  Introduction

Super crocs lived with the dinosaurs. They ate dinosaurs crabs and fish. They were the strongest animals but still no one knows how they went extinct. They had scaly Armour and there  It was huge and it weighed 10 tons. Animals were scared to walk near the water. They were the rulers of the past a long time ago. They only lived for about 1 to two million years but other animls respected it. If it needed to it could eat a whole T-Rex or any other strong dinosaurs in the past.  It was truly a monster anything in its way would instantly be eaten. Also any animals family would be killed and eaten.
                                     My Opinion

In my opinion Super Croc was the fiercest animal in the dinosaur age according to Peter Winkler's article.I think if super croc lived now only half the population would be alive.I think super croc would still be alive but no one knows how they came extinct I think super croc. Got extinct because they were so old. I think super croc  were  one of the strongest species ever. Super Croc was scary to be around  If you stepped into the water you would be never to  be seen again. If super croc would still be alive  I would never be near any water. If super croc were still aliveI would stay away from it at all costs
